“I’ve never had a bad experience when accessing student services. They are so helpful and eager to be there for you. I’ve always felt accepted and wanted in every interaction I’ve had with them. I’ve never felt lost in the masses.”
Senn Gelinas (Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance, 2nd year)
“I immigrated to Canada when I was in middle school and when I came to Sheridan, I still wasn’t very confident speaking English in front of people or writing emails. The Career Centre helped me learn what my interests were and identified various opportunities at Sheridan that could build my career. I volunteered as a Social Change Ambassador, which led to a job as a Peer Mentor and then a summer job in Sheridan’s Alumni Office. Now I’m very confident speaking to other people, and I wouldn’t be that way without these experiences.”
Chloe Yuan (Bachelor of Craft and Design – Industrial Design, 3rd year)

Peer Mentors
(students helping students)
Peer Mentors are experienced students who are hired to support new students as they transition to life at Sheridan. They plan events, develop workshops, meet students 1:1 and in small groups and can connect all students with opportunities to engage and get involved in the campus community.

“The Library Services have been invaluable during my time at Sheridan – I’m constantly using the in-person and online supports. As an Interior Design student, the Material ConneXion Library has been especially helpful. In every class I’ve had, a staff member from the Library Services team has visited us at the beginning of the semester to let us know how we can use their services to our full potential. It’s such a personal experience, and so useful.”
Jocelyn Huot (Bachelor of Interior Design, 3rd year)
Library and Learning Services
Library and Learning Services offers research support through chat, email or phone. Sheridan’s libraries feature extensive resources including e-resources (e.g. full-text databases of books, newspaper and magazine articles, and online catalogues, as well as special multimedia-based information sources and streaming video) accessible through the library website.
Wellness and Counselling Services
Wellness and Counselling Services supports students’ well-being through workshops, groups, one-on-one counselling and more. Trained mental-health professionals help students build solutions to personal, emotional or interpersonal concerns that may be impacting their academic success. All services are free and confidential.
