STUDENT LIFE
Find your people and make lifelong memories

First Year Experience
Make the most of your college experience! Sheridan’s First Year Experience team hosts events and workshops before you even start classes to help make your transition to college life easier.
Plus: Mark your calendar and plan to join us for New Student Orientation one week before classes start. Orientation is a great way to meet your classmates, get comfortable on campus and learn about all the support services that you have access to as a Sheridan student.
“Orientation was a great chance to meet new students like myself. I made a few friends by attending the event and we are still in contact which feels amazing.”

Lively and local

Meet new friends, enjoy good food and participate in a variety of events at the local campus pubs: The Marquee (Trafalgar Road Campus), The Den (Davis Campus) and The Station (Hazel McCallion Campus). Drop by for concerts, trivia and pub nights, hypnotist shows and more.
“Sheridan's Women in Trades and Tech Club helps women to be connected in the trades and know that there's so many more opportunities out there. We talk to grade school students and high school students so that we can get the word out that trades are looking to hire women.”
Tara Tyler (Welding and Fabrication Technician, ’24)

Fitness facilities
Get your sweat and workout on, and stay fit! At Sheridan, you’ll find a unique selection of athletic facilities across all three campuses, ranging from double gyms for basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer and badminton, to weight rooms, squash courts and outdoor fields.

Club and recreation sports
Veteran or novice, casual or competitive, you have plenty of choice in Sheridan’s club and recreation sports teams and leagues (including co-ed options) for a great balance of sport and sociability.

Varsity athletics: beloved Bruins
Cheer on or play for our Sheridan Bruins, affectionately known as the “Double Blue.” Sheridan’s varsity teams compete in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) and the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).
“The sense of community within Sheridan Athletics is incredibly strong and welcoming. Whether you are a varsity athlete, recreational sport participant or gym-goer, you always feel at home when you are at the gym.”
Sarah Pallottini (Honours Bachelor of Creative Writing & Publishing)
